Student success at MIFGS
Congratulations to both students who competed at the 2017 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.
Urban Horticulture students from the Burnley campus once again competed in the Avenue of Achievable Gardens at MIFGS, designing and building installations that showcase affordable and inspirational small gardens. Associate Degree of Urban Horticulture student Peter Grant placed first in the competition with a garden inspired by his daily commute and the overgrown, wild nature of Melbourne roadsides and railways, while Master of Urban Horticulture and international student Nuonan Lu took a new approach to a traditional Chinese scholar's garden, incorporating Australian elements.
