So you've been offered a place in the Bachelor of Science for 2018. What now?
Welcome to Science at Melbourne!
We’re delighted to have you on board. You’ll be joining Australia’s best and brightest, preparing yourself for every possible future.
You’ve done a lot of research to get to this point, so you probably already know that the Bachelor of Science is Australia’s most flexible science degree. With 40 majors to choose from, across science, engineering and IT, you can design the course that’s right for you.
We know that the thought of enrolling, maybe moving house or even country, choosing subjects and making new friends all at the same time can seem overwhelming.
But don’t worry, we’re here to support you.
Do you have questions?
Accepting your offer
To secure your place in the Bachelor of Science, you need to follow these simple steps.
If you don’t want to start right away, you may also be able to defer your offer.
Your first day of university will be Science: Day 1. This is a course planning and advice day, which tells you what you need to know to choose and enrol in your first-year subjects. It's your first chance to meet other students, talk with academics, and get an idea of all the options available to you.
You can also read our primer on planning your Bachelor of Science.
Visit the campus
It’s a beautiful time of year on campus, and you're welcome to visit any time. Take the opportunity to look around before your studies start.
Visit our famously beautiful heritage buildings or our modern masterpieces. Relax for a while under a tree on on the South Lawn.
And, while you’re in the neighbourhood, perhaps grab a gelato on Lygon Street, browse the shops in the CBD, or visit the Melbourne Zoo or Melbourne Museum, both just a short walk from the University.
