The Soroptimist International of the South West Pacific made a donation from money raised in memory of Dame Margaret Blackwood's contribution to the international soroptimist community and her academic achievements.
Open for award to female graduate research students in the Faculty of Science at the University in the discipline of genetics - plants, animals or viruses. Expenditure of funds is not restricted to research-related expenses but assessment of candidates will include their program of research in the discipline of genetics and their overall academic record. PhD students should preferably be in their first two years of candidature.
Applications are invited from female graduates of the University of Melbourne or from female graduates of other tertiary educational institutions.
