William Henry Dawson, of Bendigo, made a bequest in 1949 to the University for research in biological sciences.
Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate research degree in the Faculty of Science and have been accepted by a University school / department to undertake research in Anatomy, Bacteriology, Biochemistry, Botany, Genetics, Palaeontology, Pathology, Physiology or Zoology, excluding purely clinical research in Medicine. Preference is given to children of returned soldiers and consideration is given to the financial circumstance of the applicant. Candidates must apply online via the Faculty of Science's online application form and must also apply for a STUDENT GRANT via the University's Scholarship Office, by 3 March 2017 to enable a financial aid ranking.
The Bursary is awarded by a committee in the Faculty of Science and consists of the heads of schools(or their nominees) in which applicants propose to carry out research work. Apply Now
