About

Mr and Mrs K. Loftus-Hills made a donation to the University to provide a memorial to their son Jasper James Loftus-Hills, a graduate in Science and a Doctor of Philosophy of the University, who died in 1974. The award is made to students enrolled in a degree by research in the discipline of Zoology, in the School of BioSciences. Formerly awarded in the department of Zoology, prior to the merger with the department of Zoology and School of Botany in January 2015.

Conditions

Recipients will present the results of their research at an annual Jasper Loftus-Hills Symposium. No more than 3 awards to be made in any one year.

Process

Awarded by council on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Science.
