A bequest was made in 1998 by Emeritus Professor Colin Ramm and his family in memory of his wife.
Awarded to a student entering a Master of Science, Bachelor of Science (Honours) or an Advanced Graduate Diploma in a budget school of the Faculty of Science: BioSciences; Chemistry; Earth Sciences; Ecosystem and Forest Sciences; Geography; Mathematics & Statistics; Physics. The bursary is awarded to a student who is not expected to receive more funds other than a scholarship which covers a fee-based place.
Applications are assessed and awarded by a selection committee in the Faculty of Science, with a financial assessment from the Melbourne Scholarships Office. Selection will be made on the basis of the candidate who is most deserving and most likely to benefit academically from the award as determined by demonstrable financial need and academic merit. To apply, eligible students must complete the following two steps:
- Apply for the Muriel Ramm Science Bursary via the Faculty of Science through the APPLY NOW link;
- apply for a financial need assessment by submitting an online STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSESSMENT FORM via the University's Scholarship Office. This must be done within 6 months before the closing date.
