About

David Hungerford Ashton made a bequest to the Foundation of $25,000 to establish a travel award. donations have been received on a regular basis since then from the Foundation's annual giving program. On 1 January 2015 the School of Botany formally merged with the departments of Zoology and Genetics to become the School of BioSciences. The UoM School of Botany Foundation became the UoM Botany Foundation at that time.

Conditions

Awarded by the Dean on the recommendation of the head of the School of BioSciences.

Process

Open for award annually to a student studying in the discipline of botany within the School of BioSciences undertaking work in field plant ecology in order to defray travel expenses.
