ARC Future Fellowships announced

Four academics from the Faculty of Science have received ARC Future Fellowships to commence in 2020.

The successful applicants include:

  • Dr Elizabeth Hinde from the School of Physics, received for her project ‘Tracking DNA repair dynamics in the nuclear landscape of a living cell’.
  • Dr David Ridout from the School of Mathematics & Statistics, received for his project ‘Logarithmic conformal field theory and the 4D/2D correspondence’.
  • Dr Michael Wheeler from the School of Mathematics & Statistics, received for his project ‘Solvability and universality in stochastic processes’.

Dr Belinda van Heerwaarden will also be joining the School of Biosciences to begin her project ‘Can endosymbionts alter climate change resilience in insects?’

Future Fellowships provide four-year fellowships to outstanding Australian mid-career researchers, enabling them to undertake high quality research in areas of national and international benefit.
