Science Case Competition

The Science Case Competition is an annual 3-week program during which selected students tackle a real-world problem related to one of the 17 UN Sustainability Goals.

The Case Competition format meets students' needs and demands for STEM-focused opportunities to apply their subject-matter expertise and skills. In teams of 3-4 members, students develop a solution to a case, for example, plastic pollution (2022) or food waste (2023).

The Case Competition gives students the chance to engage with industry and academics. Students pitch their solutions to multi-disciplinary internal and external judges. After the first round, select teams move on to Heats and Finals, for a chance to win exclusive sustainable prizes and opportunities that enhance students’ career development (e.g., meeting with industry partners, or recruitment workshops).
