At this event, Course Coordinator Dr Vicky Perreau will introduce you to The Master of Science in Bioinformatics program. You will also hear from current students and graduates.  You will also hear about the workshop and training opportunities from Dr Emma Gail, who is the Training Lead of Melbourne Bioinformatics. Our Faculty Student Recruitment team will also talk about the application process.

There will be an opportunity for Q&A during the session, followed by networking opportunities with Melbourne Bioinformatics Staff.

About the Master of Science in Bioinformatics

The Master of Science in Bioinformatics program is #1 in Australia for Biological Sciences. It provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of bioinformatics, a field that combines biology, computer science, and computational techniques to analyse and interpret biological data. This interdisciplinary program equips students with the skills necessary to tackle complex biological problems using cutting-edge computational approaches.

Our graduates go on to work as bioinformaticians, data scientists and analysts, and computational biologists.

The Master Program is a 200-point course. Alongside subjects that build key bioinformatics skills, students will undertake a real-world bioinformatics research project over 12–18 months with one of our expert researchers and practitioners from across the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct.
