Science Student Ambassadors

Science Student Ambassadors are current students who volunteer to represent the Faculty at a range of events and activities, to share their passion for studying science.

Some examples of activities that our ambassadors have participated in are:

  • volunteered at Open Day and Faculty of Science science information sessions
  • talked to potential students about the Faculty
  • participated in activities for current students
  • been profiled for publications such as the Faculty website, online newsletters and print publications.

Science Student Ambassadors receive training and opportunities for development in public speaking, leadership and communication skills. It's also a great way to meet other enthusiastic science students!

Faculty of Science students who have completed a minimum of one Semester of study are eligible to apply.

Looking back, my time as a Student Ambassador has been an extremely integral part of my growth and development in the areas of teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills, and in gaining a lot of self belief and a sense of belonging to the university community. I had a fantastic experience volunteering in university events with the Faculty of Science team.
