Graduate Medal Winner - Ashley Hanson

Ashley completed his Bachelor of Science with a concurrent Diploma in Mathematical Sciences. He followed his undergraduate studies with a Master of Science in Mathematics and Statistics. His graduate coursework included a mix of optimisation, game theory, probability and statistics subjects. He plans to commence a PhD in applied probability early next year.

Bachelor of Science Medal Winner - An Khang Luong

Khang commenced his university studies in 2023 and studied a Bachelor of Science with a major in Computing and Software Systems. He loved studying Computer Science as it allowed him to pursue his passion for both theoretical algorithms and impactful practical applications. Khang believes that Computer Science is a key problem-solving tools across diverse areas.

This year, he commenced work at Susquehanna International Group, and further down the track, would love the opportunity to undertake further study in Data Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.

Bachelor of Agriculture Medal Winner - Samhitha Shetty

Samhitha completed her Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Plant and Soil Science. During her undergraduate studies, she developed a strong interest in plant breeding and genetics and how they can be utilised to improve sustainable food production.

This year, she commenced a Master of Biosciences while undertaking a research project to improve nitrogen use efficiency in barley. In the future, she hopes to pursue further study, such as a PhD, and contribute to research to improve crop efficiency and sustainability.
