Henri completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine in 2020. She studied immunology as well as broadening units in health law and ethics. She is currently employed as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company.

Jim has a passion for biology and fundamental mechanisms that drive the functioning of organisms. He was a part of the University of Melbourne Extension Program (UMEP), which provides an opportunity for high school students to study first-year biology subjects.

Adam’s first taste of tertiary education came from the University of Melbourne Extension Program, which allowed him to study first-year biology subjects in year 12.

Aakash Gupta
Aakash is part of the Melbourne India Postgraduate Program and recently completed his PhD on characterising the cell wall of the poisonous Talaromyces marneffei, one of the world’s most feared fungi.

Ana focused her PhD on the ecology and breeding biology of the lovely fairy-wren, spending months in the wet tropics chasing birds to present the first comprehensive study on the species.

After completing a Master of Science (Biology), Moshe joined the Pest and Environmental Adaptation Research Group (PEARG) as a research assistant, applying science to agriculture, health and conservation.

After completing a PhD at the University of Melbourne, Marissa landed her dream job with Zoos Victoria. She now dedicates every day to the conservation of wildlife.

Amy Coetsee
Amy is a Threatened Species Biologist at Zoos Victoria, working to protect the Eastern Barred Bandicoot and hopefully recover them from the threatened species list. She is also inspiring women and girls as a 2019 Superstar of STEM.
