Parkville Campus

Parkville Campus

Parkville is the University of Melbourne’s original and main campus, located just a few minutes from Melbourne's central business district.

About Parkville

The Faculty of Science operates across the sprawling Parkville campus, located on Wurundjeri land. With a mixture of historic buildings alongside award-winning modern architecture, the campus brings together expertise across diverse scientific disciplines. Visit Our schools to find out more about each of our seven schools' facilities and locations.

The campus houses world-leading technology platforms, facilities and research services, from advanced microscopy imaging to Australia's only University-based quantum computing hub – find out more about our cutting-edge facilities.

As we gather on Woi Wurrung Country to learn, discover, and share we are never far from the past.

Walking through the Student Precinct at Parkville we can trace the path of the Bouverie Creek in the pavement. Underneath us the water still flows, carrying within it the ancestral memory of this place. Eels continue use this waterway, as they have for tens of thousands of years. Like the Eel, Country adapts and responds, and although much of the campus and surrounds have been built upon and altered it remains Country everlasting.
