Dean's Honours List

Eligibility

• Undergraduate students ranked in the top 3% of their year level# within their course
• Graduate students ranked in the top 5% of their course upon completion*

#passed at least 100, 200 or 300 points in total in the course for consideration at first, second or third year respectively

*For courses with <5 students completing, a WAM of at least 85% is required.

Inclusion on a Dean’s Honours list (DHL) is on the basis of the weighted average of credit points across the relevant level in the relevant course (including breadth subjects). Have passed at least 100, 200 or 300 points in total in the course for consideration at first, second or third year respectively

Criteria

• Dean’s Honours lists will be calculated as:

*Number of DHL students = 3% x number of all students at the year level.

• Inclusion in a Dean’s Honours list is acknowledged on a student’s Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) and academic transcript. Awarded students will also receive a letter or certificate from the faculty.
• Inclusion in a Dean’s Honours list is not affected by, and does not affect, the award of any other prize or scholarship at the University.
• There is no financial benefit associated with the Dean’s Honours List award.
• Students are eligible for recognition on the Dean's Honours list only once per year, meaning they cannot receive Dean's Honours for more than one level in the same academic year
• The Dean's Honors list is compiled annually, which means that students starting in the middle of the year may see their eligibility impacted.
